Ellie Jane Goulding, born December 30, 1986 in Hereford England. Tracey Goulding Summers, her mother worked at a grocery store. Arthur Goulding is the father. Goulding is the youngest of three siblings. A sister Isabel who is older, and a brother Alex and a second sister Jordan. Alex is her elder brother, and she plays the bass with an Hereford group. Alex was encouraged by her mother to learn music when she was a young girl. At nine, she began studying clarinet. By the time she reached 14 years old, she started writing songs. However, she did not begin writing songs until after her college period. Goulding started to show an interest in electronics music while studying.
